1. Намерете boot диск на Уиндоус XP без значение кое SP е той. ( все пак вие само ще фикснете MBR – няма да преинсталирате )
2. След като boot-нете от вашия ХР диск първия въпрос който ще ви бъде зададен е – дали искате да поправите вашия уиндолс или искате фреш инстал. ( Натиснете R – за оправяне )
3. Тогава би трябвало да имате досъп до конзола. Ще ви бъде зададен въпрос, каде точно се намира вашия boot сектор, натиснете 1.
4. След това ще бъдете подканени да въведете администраторската парола на ХР-то, след вавеждането и ще получите конзола с администраторски права.
5. Въведете това:
bootcfg /rebuild
fixboot
